Hounslow Civic Centre
THE PROJECT
Hounslow Civic Centre was part of a £410m redevelopment project in the heart of Hounslow which included the new council offices, a library and a cafe for Hounslow council. Bellsure were asked by the client to provide cycle storage for this project along with an accompanying bin store.
As requested, we provided quotes on bespoke cycle shelters, bin stores and standard shelters with a range of cycle parking options. We also supplied CAD designs and .dwg files to build into the clients BIM model. This included a CAD file that specified materials, our recommendations, panel details and security fixings.
THE SOLUTION
The Streetsure team secured the contract and project managed the supply of the bespoke shelters and cycle storage to suit the clients budget and within the timeframe allotted on this project.
For the cycle storage, we supplied our classic double decker gas assisted cycle racks, citihoop classic sheffield stands and orion two-tier cycle racks . These were space planned strategically to fit as many spaces into the area as possible, and provide a greater return on investment for our client.
Our bespoke cycle shelters were the chosen option for this design-led project. The shelter used to accommodate staff cycles was a bespoke powder-coated steel frame with a bespoke Euroclad standing seam roof. We provided access control to ensure that staff bike’s were kept safe while stored on site. This design was chosen to provide longevity and minimal maintenance to the shelter throughout the life cycle of this product. Two modular cycle shelters were installed at the front of the building to provide the general public with a secure, weatherproof space to load and unload their cycles.
