Plot 9A First South Street
Part fit-out of an end-of-journey room delivered alongside other sub-contractors for BAM Construction. Provision of high-quality, powder-coated storage lockers, cycle racks and repair stations.
The main contractor, BAM, required a single-source supplier capable of delivering multiple elements of the end-of-journey facilities, including cycle storage, Z lockers and drying lockers. Bellsure was selected as the only supplier able to provide and coordinate all the required components as part of one integrated solution.
During the project, Bellsure also supported the electrical subcontractor on site as they installed sockets for e-bike charging on the cycle racks.
To overcome installation challenges associated with the 200mm void former and screed floor build-up, Bellsure utilised specialist thin resin and vacuum nozzle systems to safely and securely drill and fix all the cycle racks and lockers in place. This ensured the installation achieved a fully compliant safety rating while maintaining the integrity of the floor construction.
Project background
Plot 9A at First Street, Manchester is a mixed-use commercial development within the wider First Street regeneration area. The scheme comprises an 11-storey building with basement-level accommodation, incorporating Grade A office space, flexible commercial units, restaurant and café uses, gym facilities, associated car parking, cycle storage, landscaping and public realm improvements. The development forms part of Manchester’s ongoing city-centre expansion, supporting modern workspace and leisure provision within the First Street district.

The completed end-of-journey facilities provide a high-quality, space-efficient solution that complemented the development’s premium commercial environment. Bellsure designed and installed a user-focused cycle and personal storage area that maximised available space while maintaining strong visual consistency and aesthetic appeal throughout the facility. The final installation incorporated a range of compartment and cycle lockers, cycle racks and drying cabinets, providing modern, practical amenities to support active travel and enhance the overall occupier experience within the building.
